Some kid in my class wants me to join, but my mom heard it was a cult. I want to prove her wrond (hopefully...?)

Is the youth organization 'DeMolay' a cult? Some kid wants me to join.

DeMolay is not a cult. It was founded by a man by the name of Jaques DeMolay for young men who would belong to a christian body of young men. I have known many young men that belong to this organization and they are fine decent young men. It is part of the Masonic organization.

DeMolay is not a cult, in fact DeMolay teaches no creed of any type. I personally have been a DeMolay since 1973, I you are not DeMolay you have no based to answer this question. If you are interested about the organization, visit or contact your nearest chapter or Masonic lodge and get the true answers.

Steve Miller, above, does make a statement that is a red flag when evaluating questionable groups: "you are not DeMolay you have no based to answer this question".
In other words, if you are not "us", you can't question us. Red flag.
