The African country so rich in resources, starves its own people...the government I guarantee live in very nice homes and probably have pets of their own...cruelity to the citizens of certain countries is a direct result from bad leadership, greed, and politics...Africa is not the only country where the government starves or tortures its own people....watch world news....its everywhere, sadly....

I run a food pantry. People in america don't feed their pets when they themselves are in need of food. I make sure there is enough for both.
People in America die from malnutrition everyday. People in the wealthiest nation in the world die from cold in the winter and lack of medical treatment. This should not be like this in a country where someone will pay one million dollars for an autographed baseball.
People are dying in Africa from malnutrition because of three things.
1) food that is sent over to them is not food that is part of their diet
2) food that is sent does not reach it's intended recipients for many reasons be it corruption or lack of transportation.
3) Water and the technology to get it is poorly funded.
Instead of focusing on the problem focus on helping create a solution towards selfsufficiency.
The best way to help is to stop blaming and start working.

Many people used to critisize my parents and I because we treated our cats like kings, and still do. I love animals, plain and simple. I love people also, but I can't save the world. I have donated money, sponsored a child, and all that. Like the person who answered first said, would me not feeding my pets save the people in Africa? No!

To say that the African government is corrupt, would be an understatement. Bill freakin' Gates could send millions for food, and the only thing that would get fed, would be the greedy government officials bank accounts. My charity begins right here, in the USA. I have no regrets nor will I make any apologies for feeding my family, friends, or my dog. REGARDS!

and do you ever wonder where it goes ?
It goes to the the people that are running the country
So why should i or others not feed there pets
I feel for them i really do
but i also love my dog and birds and would never

lol, this is idiotic, so I'll answer with a question. How can you feed yourself while there are ppl dying from starvation in africa?
The reason they die is because Africa is mostly made of third world (or worse) countries with crappy governments and 99% of the ppl are in poverty. The only ppl who are rich there are the leaders.

What?, shall we send them our dog food? This is a ridiculous question. I have a Child thru Christians Children's Fund. We are all able to contribute by which ever avenue we choose, and no one need feel guilty about also caring for other of God's creatures!!!

i dont have a pet, but pets are living beings too. also created by God. i'm not saying, ignore the people dying of hunger. we must do our part to help out, from God's smallest creation to our very brothers who's dying of hunger.
