im not sure if im pregnant but if i am i dont want to tell my mum unitll after my first scan the only problem is i sitll live with her and if i go to the doctors iw as wondering will they send the date for my scan through the post or phone because she will wonder what is going on i live in the UK hertfordshire thankxx

It really depends on how old you are, in the US anyways. If you are under 16, then yes, he has an obligation to contact your mum. If not, then there is a confidentiality issue. If you have a cell phone, tell the Dr. to call you on that instead.

well here in Canada doctors have to keep it a secret, it is the law and if the doctor tells anyone about any of your problems than they can be charged, my doctor just called and said they needed to see me on a certain date and that was it, and i just had to make up a lie to tell my parents

if youlaeve it a secret, then whats going to happen if you are? Talk to her. She should understand. If you want the baby, she should help. Dont do what most people do. Leave it for a while till they have to get abortion. So wait till you know or not, get the dady and talk, BOTH tell the mom

WELL YOU COULD GO GET IT, BUT YOU CAN GIVE THEM A FRIENDS NUMBER OR YOUR BOYFRIENDS SO THEY CAN CALL YOU THERE. MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM THAT YOUR EXPECTING A CALL. THE DOCTOR HAS TO KEEP IT CONFIDENTIAL BUT IF YOUR UNDER 18 DON'T YOUR PARENTS NEED TO SIGN SOMETHING.

if the doctor is your family doc, i won't bet on him keeping it secret, moreso if you are underage. but if it is your own GP, they would normally send you a confirmation of your scan appointment by post as you would have to bring that with you on the day.
