An ipod would be nice for sure or maybe a nice piece of jewelry. I suggest being creative too, maybe tickets to a comedian if he is close by. Example Carlos Mencia! Or a gift certificate,to use at the mall you can't go wrong there.

The 18th birthday is important because she's now an adult. Not a drinking adult -- that will come on her 21st -- but an adult in every other sense. That said, give her something that reflects her new "grown-up" status.
