I use straight white vinegar to mop with. I also use it straight in a spray bottle for cleaning windows and counter tops.

Try cleaning a small hidden corner of your carpet (maybe in a closet?) with straight vinegar. Or try using it diluted half and half with water. If it doesn't do the trick then you'll know not to clean the whole carpet with it.

NEVER mix bleach with anything & don't use it on your carpet for sure. Mixing bleach with any other chemicals could set up a powerful reaction that will infiltrate the air and expose your lungs to enough danger to knock you comatose.'

As a carpet spot and stain remover - take a trigger spray bottle and fill with one part white vinegar to seven parts water. Saturate stain with vinegar solution. Let dwell for a few minutes and blot thoroughly with a clean, white cloth.
