when giving best answer...this has been my downfall in the past....

good friends will naturally have a best answer as well....just wanting to get opinions, as I have been trying my personal best not to be biased when handing out a best answer.....

I so try my best not to be. I love getting new answers from new people that I've not met before and that I don't know. They actually give me a new perspective......and often times, a more accurate one because of the non biased attitude they have. Sometimes I think we "know" our friends and so we can read into their meaning maybe on a level which we can't read the others. So we oftentimes give them the vote because we know their intent. An outside source will look in and not see what we see. And I'm sure that our reasoning for picking who we did is not clear to them. So we sometimes need to explain a bit more in our comments.

But regardless....I think it is so important to be fair to everyone. We'll sure gain a lot more from sooooooo many more people that way. :)

P.S. thanks for coming around my questions lately. :)

That is one of the risks you take with asking questions, that you stop caring about the answers, and start chatting. Pretty soon you leave an audit trail of picking one person more than most and if you are using more than one account, you give the auditors a clue as to who all those accounts are. The funny thing is the person getting all the best answers almost always survives but that is the person who draws attention to the relationship. As for me I ask no question and try not to make insulting comments to others. I have seen too many people suspended to take the risk.

Nope, I don't try my best to be fair. I know I probably should, but my friends come first. I have been guilty in the past of asking waaaaaay to many q's just so I have more best answers to pass out. I have amended my ways girl.

It seems as if some of my friends treat me better than some people in my own family so yes I tend to be biased towards my friends.

It's in humanity's nature to be biased. Disagree? Ok, take for example how a friend talks to a stranger, then, notice how they talk to you or to another of their friends. Notice how more open they are? So yes, biased in that way..

You mean friends on Y!A. Nope I don't know anyone here personally so everyone gets treated equally.

But I guess I am biased towards my friends. They're my friends afterall.

Yes. Very much so.....particularly at work where l am senior to most of them. But isn't good to help your friends, even though others may not like it?

yes, even if i dont want to. i tend to have a favorite, and i get his/her side of the story first when that person gets into trouble. but as much as possible, i let each of my friends speak their minds :D

every person is biased they always stick to their own, opinion, like for example, you're friends if they fight someone you still to your friends side even if she is wrong.. because in yourself you think its right...
