I have played morrowind and found that to be alittle bit better. Even with mods i find oblivion to be boring.

ITs the type game you should know if you will like it or not. With oblivion there is so much story you can or cant follow. Hundreds of hours worth.
I personally love the game. I go from accomplishing missions, to raiding caves, back to missions.
If you allready forked out the money and are getting sick of it, just try to do something you havent done yet. DO a mission if you have been avoiding them. If missions is all you do, then roam around and get into something.
Even a better tip, read some of the books you find in the game. No lack of areas to explore in that game.

I personally thought Oblivion was better than Morrowind. I've been having a lot of fun after a few months and I've still yet to tire of it. But to each his own, I suppose.

It is boring if you cant enjoy the graphics.
Morrowind did have slightly better and more interesting gameplay though.
