I don't know about you but it makes me mad everytime I see stars on the news adopting foreign children. Why do they feel the need to adopt children from other countries? We have 1000's of children right here in the USA that need loving families.

Who cares were they get a kid from its one less suffering kid in the world. The united states is partly to blame for why people don't adopt here because they give people such a hassle. Maybe the U.S. should start talking about how much these kids need homes. You hardly ever hear about American kids needing help.

I don't know about adoption laws in America, but as someone said, they might not want someone to knock at their door one day, and say that they want their kid back... or some compensation.

Also, kids without parents are likely to die of... let's see... poverty... hunger... AIDS... they may become prostitutes (boys and girls alike)...

I have a friend who went to take pictures for a charity in Kenya. He went to an orphanage. Kids and teenagers are taught to read, to count. They have a lot of sports activity, like dancing and circus stuff. I asked him what those teenagers would be doing once they would be too old to stay in this orphanage... Well, the orphanage doesn't have the money to train them, to teach them a trade, etc. They'll probably end up on the streets.

I think because its more difficult to adopt in the USA and also there is a greater chance that the real parents (if American also)will start causing trouble by saying that they are the real parents ? And also, American children for adoption already enjoy government benefits while those in third world countries have zero government support. (And thus, are more in need...)

Definitely Angelina...does it matter where they are adopting them from???Isn't it good that they are adopting. I feel that USA can take care of the orphans but other can't really take good care so its better if the kids are adopted from other countries.

You have a good point. However children in third world countries live a very poor existence and have a much slimmer chance of being adopted.

because USA is a big city, many people many cities and of course many funds from the government to support street children and some poor families.... unlike some other countries who are lacking funds to support their fellow people, and can't even build public schools for them beacause of poverty...
