Go to either Sothbey's or Christie's auction house websites and post your questions there. Also, check out rare booksellers websites and post your questions there. If you have any problems you might want to try the Library of Congress' website at: loc.gov and post your question on their query site.

Site I use is www.addall.com. They show what dealers are currently charging. Price depends a lot on condition, on which edition it is, who illustrated it, etc.
Ref librarian in your local library can point you to sources re value of old books. They're very helpful.
