I prefer staying inside the U.S. for now. Too much turmoil in the world. There is so much to see and do right here. For tropical weather, there are the U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Florida. Skiing in California, Nevada, Colorado, Washington State, Utah, etc. Rafting on the Colorado River. Sailing. SCUBA. You name it, we have it. Our national parks are phenominal. Our museums are awesome. Nightlife can't be beat (NY, Las Vegas). I love it here!

I have travelled in my own country though not as much a I'd like to. In any case, I think I'd say travelling abroad since the world is a huge place and there is a lot discover in so many respects. My country I can visit any tie but far away countries are something I've always wanted to discover.

The US is a huge country w/all kinds of country - mountains, seashore, deserts, and let's not forget Hawaii, which is a kind of beautiful unto itself. You know the laws and don't have the hassle of international travel.
But - international travel exposes you to people and cultural experiences. I drove on the other side of the road in New Zealand and up the sidewalk at McDonald's. Those stories are priceless.
