She cries because she wants out. She has a mirror with lights, music, and toys. Sometimes she does good, but most of the time she cries. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!!

Try taking her for short trips, perhaps around the block at first, then expand on that slowly. Eventually she will get used to being confined to her seat. Also, talk to her in soothing tones during the rides, reassuring her that she's okay, that it won't be much longer and praise her when she's been quiet. A pacifier or a favorite blankie helps too.

She's probably lonely back there facing the opposite direction. You can try putting her in her car seat and playing with her at home.

My son went through a brief spell with the same problem at about 4 months, and we just sang and talked to him. We also bring along his favorite toy, and now he doesn't mind the car. Good luck!

Some babys just do not like it while others love it. I still have not figured out how to get my youngest daughter to like car rides. She just doesn't like it. I try to use the car with her as little as possible.

It might be the car seat itself. Some of these car seats don't have much cushioning in them. Unfortunately, you are not sup post to put any cushion in the car seat yourself.

try giving her some toys that she can touch and play with. that may keep her busy so she wont even realize that she is in the car.
