You can rent at Disney though Alamo, onsite, or on their website...www.disneyworld.com. Or if you don't want to use Disney, I always have luck with enterprise.

I am not sure if you can book it directly at Fort Wilderness, but I know you can book at Disney World somewhere. Call them and ask. I am sure you can take one of the Disney buses to wherever you need to get it!

Enjoy your trip!

If you do not plan to leave Disney World, you won't need a rental car. Disney's transportation is free to a anywhere on Disney property. However, if you wish to visit Kennedy, Universal, or a nearby Beach, you will need one. I recommend stopping by the Hilton located accross from Downtown Disney Marketplace. Inside, you will find an Avis rental car office. You can get your car there or have Enterprise drop off your car at Ft. Wilderness when you need it by calling their office located at the Orlando International Airport.

You can always ask someone at the front desk of your hotel to handle things like that for you. But be prepared to pay an extra fee for their time and services.

When we stayed at Fort Wilderness we rented our car off sight. By the way you will really like Fort Wilderness. We stayed in one of the cabins, not at the lodge. I'm sure both are great!

Rent at Airport.

You don't really need a car at Disney unless you want to go into Orlando.

When you stay at a Disney resort there is free transportation to every theme park, other resort, and downtown disney shopping and restaurants.
