It totally depends on what you're looking for, just music, or music and photos, or music, photos and video. I have a 3 mp3 players in my house, 2 are mine. The first one, the Sansa m240, is 1gb (480 songs from a wma, 240 in mp3) is great for jogging, it's like the perfect compact player, and it's decently priced. I also have a 20gb Archos gmini 402. Archos is a great brand, but not many people know about it, they mainly sell expensive portable video players, but I bought mine on ebay, brand new, for 157 bucks. It plays music, videos, and photos, and can play 3-D games. My brother has a 2gb ipod nano, I don't recomend nanos, they look really cool, but as another person said earlier, they break, a lot!!! Also they are way overpriced, I mean a 2gb ipod nano for 200 bucks, the Archos gmini 402 is cheaper, and plays video!!! and holds a heck of a lot more!!! That's what I have, please vote me for best answer!

Samsung YP-T9... it's absolutely amazing. I have the 4GB model, but there is a cheaper 2GB model, too. It's the highest ranked MP3 player out on the market right now according to many sites (CNET, shopper, amazon, buy, etc.)

It plays music, videos, radio, text, games, etc. It also converts the movies to be really small in size. If you were to buy a 2GB model, you could fit about 300 songs and 4 movies on at the same time!

I have an iPod nano. I wouldnt reccomend getting it. I have and 2 in the past year and they keep breaking. (Thank god I bought the replacement plan!!!) It's easy to use, it just keeps breaking for me! Im not rough with it either! If you are looking into buying an mp3 player I would go with an iPod vidio. They are better made, and have cooler features than the nano. BUY A PRODUCT REPLACEMENT PLAN!!!!!! It's worth the extra 25 bucks, just in case it breaks.

i have an e260 sandisk mp3. the battery lasts twenty hours. you need to replace the battery once a year. it has an fm tuner. costs 400 dollars, give or take $10. stores photos. 4gb. plus, can store videos. i've had mine for a year and it works really well.

How much do you want to spend. Apple and Creative are generally the best in review sites. Try typing in MP3 review to google.

I have an iPod. A regular, 60GB video one. It's very cool and does everything you could possibly need. It's small and durable. It also cost $400 so that could be an issue for some people.
