Yes,but Bush would probably promote him to a higher place in his administration if the person in question was a Republican.

Reid owned the land, transferred it to a partnership where he was a partner. He still owned the land. This was a transfer in legal form only and he should have technically reported it on his Senate forms, but he neglected to.

When the property was sold, he reported the sale. He made 700,000, an amount consistent with market appreciation in suburban Las Vegas during the 6 years he owned the property.

The ethical issue is that he didn't disclose that the land was owned by a partnership. His partner was an old friend who was rumored to have mob connections years ago, from the days when the mob was active in Nevada. However, Reid's constituents are well aware of Reid's friendship with this guy, as are the members of the Senate. Nothing was really being hidden.

This is a technical breach of the rules, and the Ethics committee hasn't come back with a decison yet. There is no connection with tax evasion he reported the gain from the sale when the property sold.

NO!!!!! This sounds like Harry "Dingy" Reid and he should be made to resign and charged with tax evasion and racketeering and there should be investigation of the entire DNC for subversion along with the Main Stream News Media including the NYSlimes.

Good point..... But the Democrats are not to be held to the same standard as everyone else... their heart is in the right place and they will apologize and that excuses all.

If you think this sort of corruption is new, or is confined to the republican party you are naive.
