I was born and raised here in FL, and sadly i would have to agree with you, but I think it's all over the US not just here.
I have been in out of jobs lately like it's nothing because the managers treat me like crap, and treat customers even worse and it upsets me. I don't know if it's because I was raised on such high morals, and expect the same of others, or because they are just rude, but they need to do something about it. I worked at Disney for 2yrs and guests would tell me all the time that i was the nicest and most helpful person that they had met their whole trip, just because i would approach them and talk to them. Of course I was flattered, but I was ashamed even more that they had gotten treated so poorly.
But all the other places I have been too have been just as bad as FL. VA, TX, SC, GA; they all brushed me off and gave the cold shoulder, when all I tried to ask for was directions or something.
Anyway I'm sorry your trip sucked, but not Floridians are bad!

I go once a year... and find that Orlando has the best customer service on the planet! The hotels are top notch and the entire town caters to those visiting!

Florida ISNT that bed guys geez I LOVE it here but I live in a nice part of Florida...
anyway, it really depends on what part of Florida. Honestly, many parts of Florida DO have awful customer service but not all of it, its not right to generalize that.

from a florida gal i would sadly agree! but i live in a big city so i bet ya the costermer sevice isn't as bad in a place like tallahassee as it is in miami. where did u stay in florida i hope not in coco beach, that place is swimming with garbage and tourist, litrerally!

i dont think its just florida im in oz and its turning out the same
there is no such thing as customer happiness anymore its all about the business

i think that's everywhere, it all depends on where you go, most places have good service around here but it all depends on the mood of the person and if their white trash trailer's roof is still leaking when it rains from the hurricane lol

I agree...most of the people (not all) that live there are trash...**** rolls down hill.
