You know when you would do anything for that person. If you would die for them, or if you would try anything to make them happy. In my boyfriend's words, "I would swim 1,000 miles through shark-infested water just to get you a drink." Love is about give and take and the sacrifices you have to make. Another thing to know about love, is you know it is true when you would be willing to let them go if they are unhappy with you. Love is when you are comfortable in your own skin around the person, and you don't try to hide your faults, because if they love you back, they are accepting of your faults.
