You take their stinking money and use it to destroy them...
You are doing it because you have to live in this money obsessed society and when your company finally dies you will have a party.

But seriously if you've thought about this question and takin it to heart you wouldn't work ther
I know this question is to get people thinking.

I work for a big supermarket chain. They both enhance lives and destroy them.

Enhance: There is the monthly charity donations on the local level from each store, the state level to childrens hospitals and National level to disaster releif causes. Also we switched at great expense all the lighting throughout all the stores in the country to a type that use alot less power on timers. We also recycle all paper and plastic waste which helps save the world.

Destroy: All self branded products are made offshore in low wage countries such as china and russia keeping people in those countries in poor conditions and putting people here out of work. We purposly build in areas of competition from other stores with less chance of havving the buying power we have so we can drop the prices and cut them out. Although half our trucks are running on gas, the bigger ones still use diesel. Foam cups are used in our tea rooms and we charge customers way too much for fruit and veg.

I stay there for a job - nothing more. I like that their goal is to save the environment, as it is a cause i strongly support, but i hate their policy of being the biggest and the best.

Why are you asking this question so many times? That doesn't seem to enhance the quality of human life. I refer back to the simple answer: People work for money. Not everyone can save the world and get paid for it.

Not every job can enhance humanity. Sometimes we just need to get by. Why would you judge someone for having a job that doesn't "enhance the quality of human life"? At least they are working.

I have a part time job serving people coffee. Is that enhancing their lives or is it giving them bladder cancer? Unless you are an out and out criminal, the work you do can be interpreted more than one way. If you work in a weapons factory you can console yourself you are helping to protect democracy (or communism, islam whatever). You question sounds a tad self righteous. What do you do?, or is this an excuse for unemployment.
