You are snookered I am afraid, the Spanish Government have been implementing the same procedure as the US where they need passport details before you fly so you should have already advised the sirline of your passport details. You need to check out if you can change your tickets and then make sure that the passport office can issue the passport in the same day as a month or so ago they had a system problem which meant they were taking a week to issue.

To be honest, I have no idea - you may be better of asking the Cypriot embassy. However, the passport office allow people to renew their passports 9 months before it expires (they add the 9 months onto the new passport). So simply apply for a new passport for your duaghter about 3 months before your travel.

Same answer as Jayne, you have to have 6 months life on your passport to travel,
i had to make an appt at the passport office to pick up a new 10yr passport which you can get on the same day, you just have to wait 4 hours for them to process a new one it costs about £94 but it was worth it.

You should get a new one. They can refuse to let her travel if the passport is due to expire within a couple of months of the return date.

You should be ok, travelling within the EU. You don't say if you are going to the greek or turkish side. You could always check on the embassy website for either country for more info.
