This person need to see a doctor. Sounds to me like she has definitely got an eating disorder. If she continues, she will not live to see her children grow up. It will destroy her health and damage her heart. Her daughter and other family members need to get her some help pronto. If it is not from an eating disorder, then she has some kind of a medical problem. In any case, she needs help quickly.

Is she throwing up after she eats , voluntary or is she doing something to cause her to throw up. If she is making her self throw up, she has an eating disorder, most likely is bulimic. Usually people that do something like that see them selves as fat and do it as a form of weight loss and is very dangerous. She should definitely seek help if this is the case. If she is not making her self throw up it could be any number of things, stress, pregnancy etc...

If she is throwing up on purpose then yes it is an eating disorder. If she just throwing up after eating it could be caused by an stomach ulcer...in either case she needs help either from a physician for any stomach problems or a mental health provider for any eating disorders.

Yes, if she is purposely throwing up she is showing symptoms of bulimia. It is an eating disorder. Your friend's mom needs help.

It depends. Is she throwing up spontaneously or is she making herself. She could have a disorder of the esophagus. It would be a eating disorder either way

if its not on purpose then its not an eating disorder
how long has this been going on; it could be a virus or much worse......consult a doctor ASAP and tell your friend to watch her mom and make sure she doesn't pass out-if she does call 911!!!

If she is doing it on purpose it would be an eating disorder. If she can't help it; she must be sick. Either way ask her to get medical attention.
