:) I feel the same way...i think each day we should spend time to just sit and think about at least 10 not so blatantly obvious things that we are grateful for...this way, it helps us stay grounded. Whenever i spend time like this, it helps me focus, on the more meaningful things in my life...I think we are naturally just jealous, and if we realize that what we have, no matter how big or small, it is ours, and unique...then we will start feeling blessed and stop feeling like we need to have everything, and realize that what we have is ours, and ours to keep.
:) Considering the fact that it is hard enough to respect and care for what we already have, we should be focusing on it ...its true however, we take so much for granted.

It is a matter of being comfortable in your own skin. When a person can look in the mirror and accept themselves for who they are, then that unsatisfied feeling has a tendency to go away. Time and maturity bring that on. However, some people are never satisfied with what was given to them. We are who we are for a reason, we just need to accept it. The color of your hair, skin, etc., doesn't make a difference. It is all about who we are on the inside and how we express that to the rest of the world. It is a matter of loving yourself and accepting the things that you can't change and doing something about the things that you can. People need to stop giving a crap about the things that others have and be content with what they do have. Yes, it is a human condition.

It's not about being dumb.
It's about being humble. You're not humble until life slaps you around a few times. People that have had things taken away from them appreciate when they get them back. IF they get anything back. People that go for vanity and glitter are not usually appreciative of what they have. People can lose things and then slip into a depression because of it. Hating the world, hating God.....hating everything.
For what?
Not having a new car?
Not getting the *Caspian* caviar?
Not getting front row seats?
Getting the IS model (Lexus) instead of the LS?
You get a 1 carat engagement ring instead of a 2?
You were served a T-bone instead of a Delmonico?
You went to Cozumel instead of Rio?
Your house is 3000 sq ft instead of 5000?
Your bathroom is domestic marble instead Italian marble tile?
Who cares? What is the importance in your life? What really matters? A never ending string of complaints about what you don't have? What you should have? What the world owes you? How many wrongs you've suffered because you got this carpet instead of that carpet?
Ever stop to look at the clouds? Ever see the shade of blue in the sky anywhere else? Ever take a close look at a lady bug? Praying Mantis?
Ever listen to the rain? How about the SNOW? Did you even know it made a sound?
Ever hold a door open for someone? Ever give someone a dollar or two at the checkout because they look like they needed the groceries and were short? Ever stop your car so someone can get across in front of you in a parking lot? Ever help someone just because? Ever send a card just because? Ever tell someone they are special and mean a lot to you just because?
Do you know how Summer smells? What about Fall.......Winter....Spring? Do you know when kids go find tadpoles? Do you know how to fly a kite? Ever take a minute to throw a ball to a child you don't know because they look bored or lonely, and watch them smile and think you're the greatest person in the world because of it? Ever just go talk to your neighbor for no reason? Ever smile at a stranger?
Ever have someone try and hit you for free money, and even if you think it's a scam, you give them a dollar or two and tell them they have to accept it in the name of Jesus and it's a gift from Him?
Ever tip your waiter/waitress really well because they *deserved* it?
How many flowers do you know the scent of? Where do chipmunks live? Ever see a wild deer in the woods? Ever watch fish swim in a secluded pool of water in the wild? Ever watch a hawk fly in the sky?
Ever serve meals to homeless people? Yes, maybe some choose this, but what about the ones that didn't?
Do you remember all the friends you've ever had? Do you know what it feels like to feel someone's hand on your shoulder that you love?
Have you ever said something accidentally profound and not known it and didn't find out about it until later?
And on the other hand:
Have you ever been cheated on?
Have you ever been lied to right to your face by someone you intended to marry while she looked you square in the eye?
Have you ever had someone tell you they love you, but treat you like you're the biggest piece of dirt on the planet?
Have you ever been fired from a job for no reason?
Have you ever had a demon for a boss?
Have you ever had someone you dearly love die and you didn't get to say goodbye?
Did you ever have pass up a chance to go see someone in the hospital that was gravely ill thinking you'd go 'tomorrow', but they died before you got around to going?
Ever wake up on a sunny Summer morning and have messages on your machine that a someone you dearly love had been taken to one hospital in the night, and then to another and then to another, and by the time you find out where they are, you get a call saying they died and you didn't even get the chance to get out the door to go see them?
On and on.
Ever have life slap the sh!t outta ya?
So, what is really important?
Where does the real meaning lie for people that need that nicer car? They have to have that bigger diamond ring to *feel* 'loved'. They will look so much nicer with this $2500.00 suit on. Those $350.00 shoes will do the trick!
It's not the shoes, the ring or the car. It's the attitude. The mentality, the mindset of people that don't bother to take the time while they have it. What will *you* have when it's all over?
Who will try and get to *you* when it's your turn? Or will they be thinking of that trip to the Caribbean?

People in nature never get satisfied, they just kept wanting for more, wanted different things..that just goes to show that we are human..without it we will never strive for best...it's a chance to make everything in our lives better.

Hopefully, at some point maturity levels increase and one learns to be grateful for what one has. Personally, I am at that point. I focus on what I have, I am thakful for what I have. Try not to focus on what I dont have. Good luck and God bless.
