I like the name Oakley. Very original for a child's name. By the time your kid is old enough to care, nobody will even care about Oakley sunglasses anyway, some new fad will be out there. How about Merrick? (thats my son's name) or aaron. That sounds cute. Oakley Aaron Sumners.

I feel that a name predetermines the personality of a person. Eg. All the Jason's and Werner's I know are real terrors and tease and get up to mischief. Most Michelle's I know are soft spoken introvert people pretending to be extravert. Wait until you are holding the bundle of joy and a name will enter your mind. Think about this. If you name him after someone, there is the expectation of following in their footsteps or being like that person. I never knew how much stress is involved in naming a new being for whom I am responsible. The name should also make sense for the day the question, "Why was I named ........?" is asked

I really like the name Oakley. I like it even more after researching the origin of the name. Anglo-Saxon derived from "oak-lea." A clearing within the oaks. Back to your question. No particular reason, but I like the sound of the name Steven or Stephan derived from the Greek word Stephanos meaning "Crown." Enjoy your search for the perfect name!

oakley james sumners is the first thing that rolled off my tongue.
i think that a short middle name works best after a long first name.
i like it. it sounds strong and distinguished.
ignore the other people slagging you off, one of my sons is called jack and i think theres 3 in his class. its nice to have something unique.
good luck whatever you decide to call him x

Why do you need a middle name when Oakley is good enough as it is? ...Anyway, how about Sean, Ashton, Rob ?

That is an unusual first name! I named my son after my dad, it seemed right. Now I have a grandson of my own!
