Any stand alone turntable/record deck with phono jacks will do. You then get an extra piece of kit that you attach the turntable to which connects to your PC via USB. I`ve seen these boxes in Argos. Cost`s about £40. This will transfer your vinyl to your hard drive.

as i c it u have 2 choices.... 1) do the idea of recording it onto ur computer and then burning it ur disc or... 2) buy a CD/DVD recorder which works in exactly the same way as a standard tape recorder but records directly onto Cd's! but if u r going to get a CD recorder then make sure that u check that it will work with all types of Cd's and not only the crappy type of ones!!!! My record player cost £30 & had a jack that connected to my CD & tape system it`s great & the sound quality is fine for what I need.

Try www.djkit.co.uk - they advertise the Numark TT USB turntable which connects directly to your PC (via USB funnily enough). I don't know how well it works or what else you need but it's worth checking out.

Go to a music store. Not a CD store where they sell instruments but where they sell instruments. You can usually find DJ hardware there too.
