Okay, you should click Start> Run> type in msconfig, hit Enter> then choose the start up tab. In front of the programs that you do not want to run, uncheck the box. Restart the system, and check the box on the Selective Start Up and click Enter again. Now you can start the programs manually. For more tips like this visit my site below.

Most of these applications have an option called something like 'automatically start on start-up', usually a tick-box under the 'options' or 'preferences' menu. If you untick this, the next time you reboot your computer these applications will not automatically start.

You may specify which programs you would like to run at startup time quite easily:
start-run
type: msconfig
go to startup tab
uncheck programs you don't want to run at startup.
Be careful: some of them perhaps your antivirus or firewall programs, you definitely want these programs to keep on running. Make sure you check the Command column first.
