I work from 10pm to 6:30 am. I guess that is third shift. I go home eat breakfast, sleep for about 2 hours (more if my body needs it) then stay up the entire day, then go back to sleep at 5 so I get enough sleep.

I work nights and feel really tired about 2 hours before my shift ends....then on the drive home I wake up and can't sleep when I get home ....it takes a few hours until I can fall asleep.
I love working nights though...great job.

My husband worked nights for three years, and we almost divorced over it. He tried a dark curtain, background music, sleeping pill; nothing helped. He spent his days off sleeping at least 14 hours at a time. It was not worth it. He is a day person and always will be. I, on the other hand, love nights and go to bed when the sun comes up.
