It depends on whether you are facing north or south.

If facing north then you go a day back, and it'll be 3pm on October 13th.
If facing south then you go forward a day, and it'll be 3pm on October 15th.

However i hope you're wrapped up nice and warm as the only places you can stand on the international date line are in the arctic and antarctic

If you are standing West of the International Dateline (right for you) and it was October 14, at 3 p.m. ,it would be 2 p.m. on the same day East of International Dateline. The Dateline is just a starting line for the timezones. If the question is why there has to be a dateline at all ,it is because linear time depends on a starting point. It is not scientific but a arbitrary point

The longitudes are divided such that one complete circle gives a 24 hour or 1 day shift in time, since the Earth completes one complete revolution in 24 hours. So if you step to the left of the date line, you will be at the same time 3pm, but 1 day behind

Depends are you facing north or south....

Assuming you're facing north...A step left is a step west which advances you a day and I think turns back the clock an hour.
