Hello again,
I've wondered this myself before. I have heard of "ionized" water-something about it being more alkaline? Not sure, though. I also know that water can be ozonated: O3 being bubbled throughout it for the purpose of purifying it. That makes exceptionally good water as there are no impurities left in it. (I even heard that swimming pools can be purified with ozonation.)
If oxygen would be "added" in such a way that it would change the chemical composition of water, it would become peroxide: H3O3, and that would definitely taste different!
My guess is that the water you purchased had been ozonated. It would not necessarily taste any different that bottled water, but would be better for you.

This is controversial pertaining to the benefits, if any, and I think there needs to be more study on the subject, but, it's supposed to help the body to increase blood flow, oxygenation of cells, detoxification, support immune system, rejuvenate skin. However, many researchers claim there is no credible evidence that oxygenated water provides any benefit based on studies by scientists at several major universities and they sayOxygenated water is nothing more than an expensive burp because the only animals capable of extracting oxygen from water to the blood stream to enhance their performance are those animals which have gills.
I think at this point it's to eaches own on how they evaluate this being beneficial or not.

Who wouldn't think MORE OXYGEN it better than less. It's a gimmick designed to get you to pay more for something simply because it sounds more healthy. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who have no concept of chemistry and will think it's worth every EXTRA penny.

`You can oxygenate water just by filling a bottle half-way and shaking it.
Idiots will buy anything if you put it a health food store and say its good for you. For example..............

It is called "heavy water" and is generally used for nuclear purposes... (bomb building). Nutritional value remains questionable.
