I was wondering if they are the same or if the ambulance crew isj ust the driver and other person in the frotn and the paramedics are the people who have the know how in the back, or are just paramedics in cars and ambulance crew in ambulances?

A paramedic has a certification and must pass written and lab exams. One can be a ambulance driver with much less education. There is also a difference between an EMT and a Paramedic. The EMT has less qualifications and education and cannot give injections and such.

Paramedics are more finely tuned........they can diagnose a condition, administer medicine, perform a simple operation if need be. They are medically trained but not to the same extent as a doctor obviously.
