I need a well known pop star/group to perform for 45 mins at a private function in London, UK. Where do I start?
Ideally I'd like an old school soul band/singer. Any ideas people? Contact details of agents and rough ideas on prices appreciated.

I'd narrow it down to soul/R&B singers residing close to London (unless you are OK with picking up airfare, hotel, etc expenses).
Here's a few that would be great: Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Parliment Funkadelic, Bo Diddley, Jackie Wilson, Etta James, The Ohio Players, War, Smokey Robinson, Al Green, The Four Tops, James Brown, Mary Wells, Johnnie Taylor.
I'd just find their official websites & send them an email (or call).
I think you'll get a few bites.

they make themselves attentive to different artists and so on get smashed, do drugs the option sex and take in each and every thing round them... yet in my opinion i imagine listening to different song might want to correctly be the reason a lot stuff sounds a similar... in the journey that they locked themselves away in a organic retreat or a united states with a diverse custom, their personal song will income. Like at the same time as the beatles went to india and got here decrease back with a 'new' sound 'che vive!' there might want to be song at those activities!?

Any reputable (preferably international) entertainment agency in your neighbourhood should know the agents of most of the stars. that is their job and what they do is make your life easier in terms of booking entertainment. Search Yahoo for more detials and web sites for these agencies. Good Luck!

Real celebrities are so hard to get hold of unless you have a lot of contacts in that industry. Have you ever thought about hiring a lookalike??

it seems like the best thing to do is to go to the artist's website. they usually have a link that says 'contact me' or something like that. click on that and write a little note telling about your situation and offer a price. they'll usually respond... if they're nice ;) good luck.
