1) we SHOULD have immediately taken out north koreas launchers after confirmation of nuclear tests. The war between south and north korea is technically still on, and we are allies with the south. So we could have rightfully acted immediately. We pussed out big time.

2) Iran does not want war, and only about 15 to 20% of them support the insane leader we know. He is supported only by the most poor and left out who turned to him for change. So once hes gone we will be looking at iran in a different light.

Future of the world prediction of mine is nothing but prolonged, low strength managable wars to provide steady incomes to a few companies.

It likely will be over some little crap nation that means little or nothing by itself but is loaded down with a resource or is strategicaly located between larger powers. Yes Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea fits the bill nicely. So does Iran. But Formosa/Taiwan, Half the Middle East, Georgia, Turkmenistan and many other places also fit the bill. The economics matter more than the politics. It could start with India and Pakistan. The one crucial factor in all large wars so far is that one nation starts to believe their own balony about how powerful and invincible they are. They then start to think they can act with imunity and start to act the bully. We have that condition today. Nobody is paying much attention to Africa, that place has all the economic reasons to be a powderkeg.

I would love that USA wage new wars against Korea, Pakistaan, Iran and somebody else too.
That would involve many a countries against Amercia,
It would mean the US has to fight with constraints, lots of them
its economy will be crippled
it will have more enemies and less and less resources
it will not be able to control activities of many people within USA.
Result will be that Countries will unite and polarise against the US on the one hand
There will be a lot of internal damage inflicted on the US on the other hand.
The US will be nuked by Israel and Pakistaan and the Koreans will be blamed. the normal US game. But the internal reactions will be such that the Congress will be made to decide on the future course.
The US congress will hold an investigation and come to realistic conclusions.Israel will be named and blamed. with hard evidence found.
The US president will be impeached for colluding with Israel.
Israel will be totally a demonic country to the US, All aid will be cut off, Embassies will be closed.
A new President will be appointed. who will be a retired general.
Overnight the US will then Declare its allegance to the palestinian cause.
Jews will be murdered and killed in the streets of USA by rioting Mobs. Jews will have no place to run.
There will be sanctions against Israel. They will live on palestinian handouts of food.
Lebnon and Syria will over run Israel, Israel will be no more.

The Muslims will help rebuild America with Billions of Dollars,
There will be no single act of terror on Amercian soil or anywhere.
Peace will prevail.

The world is at an important junction right now. The nation-state is in decline and group identity is on the rise. The man-made created nation boundaries are breaking down where people are identifying themselves more on their culture, no matter the country. So you have Iraqi vs. Iraqi, for example.

If that continues, the world is in for massive civil war. Read the Clash of Civilizations. And that civil war could extend to our shores, as well. Western culture vs. Muslim is an obvious one. No matter what country you're from - the future will have the person first identify himself as Muslim or Western then American or Iraqi, for example. American could be fighting American in the future.

Or, we can settle down and let nations rule. I believe ultimately that will be the case, after lot of blood has been spilled. I believe the freedom the U.S. has and wants all to have will ultimately win the day.

I believe the U.S. will stay out of North Korea because we have our hands full with the war in Iraq.

As for North Korea??I think surrounding countries are going to have to police their own neighborhood on this one.

*My money is on Japan!

The world will go on as it has for billions of years. There'll be wars as well as peace, poverty and prosperity... that's the way it is. No impending doomsday.

Next war?? hmmmm.. probably Iran. Depends on who's the next tenant of the White House.

I think the so-called N. Korean threat is way overblown.

Peace!

the world is at the crossroads...unless bigotry is controlled and people have tolerance towards others i dont think we can change this world...

well about north korea and iran...they r not afghanistan and iraq...and may put up a big fight and may polarize the world...well, if the americans attack or not depends on how Mr.Bush fares in the up-coming Midterm-elections....

The "feature" of the world. Who knows, I don't think either one of them is worth a war. Neither one of them are very big or rich, and all they can think of is that they have a nuke and all of a sudden offended because American won't kiss their little tiny behinds. Big deal... if we did get into anything, then I don't think it will last very long. We will all get to find out if there really is a God or not. I am not worried, hope you are not either.

kool rock is a ******** who doesn't know what he's talking about. He didn't think of the fact that North Korea can send a nuke at any moment, if they feel threatened, they're going to blast at the US. Also, what about all those troops in the middle east, and then of course there's the troops stationed in countries such as Italy, Germany, Japan....what a moron.
