Kizzie. I seem to be the only person that remembers it. She was a gypsy girl that had been fostered and had to suddenly live in a house instead of a caravan and go to school for the first time in her life. It was really good.

He-Man & The Masters of the Universe
I loved this show for many reasons but I think the most important thing was that despite having almost unlimited physical strength He-Man was a hero because of his conduct. Even as a child I thought morality was a great virtue and He-Man was a hero I could really look up to - he would even risk his own life to save someone who tried to kill him moments before.

The other program I truely loved (and still do) is Doctor Who.
I love history, sci-fi and monsters. The best thing about the show were the fantastic baddies and although one could argue in certain places the special effects are poor the monsters always were scary. Again I liked the Doctor's firm personal morality. I especially remember how in one story (The Genesis of the Daleks) the Doctor won't destroy the Dalek race before it is created because even though they will go on to kill millions he can not bring himself to destroy something which was, at that stage, still innocent.

I think in many ways a lot of modern kids TV concentrates on action or zany comic escapades without having the moral element in it that was once present. In many ways I think this is sad because a lot of kids spend more time with TV than with their parents and people should learn good conduct from an early age.
