wait until you have a job, save up some cash and then buy it. Do not go broke trying to buy one either, for that would be unwise.
If it's true love, it can wait. Seriously. And if she really loves you it wouldn't matter what size or how much it cost either. Heck, she should be fine without all the 'flash' of a ring.

Go to good old fashion Kmart , they are always having sale's on jewerly. my mother bought me a ring from kmart yrs. ago on sale an that ring now appraise's for over $350.00. you can find nice jewerly there an i would go more along the lines of a ruby or amethyist. instead of the promise diamond , that should be for the engagment.

IN THIS DAY AND AGE, WHY WOULD YOU EVEN ACCEPT ANY PROPOSAL FOR MARRIAGE WITH NO MONEY?? I GOT PREGNANT, AND GOT MARRIED TO A MAN IN THE SAME SITUATION. I PAID FOR WEDDING BANDS(WALMART) B/C HE DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY. MY ENGAGEMENT RING COST $40.00. WE WERE TOGETHER 2 YRS. I FILED FOR A DIVORCE. I JUST GOT MY DIVORCE DATE IN MAIL YESTERDAY FOR DEC 8. IT TOOK NEARLY 4 YRS TO BE ABLE TO EVEN AFFORD TO PAY FOR A LAWYER.
WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE A GOOD,STABLE JOB. HAVE MONEY FOR A GOOD ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD, RELIABLE VEHICLE, ETC. I PROMISE YOU, YOU WONT REGRET IT.

if you really love her it does not matter my husband and I were in love and broke and he got me one at walmart for $8.00 and the wedding ring to match for $8.00 later when we got the money he bought me a new one but I kept the first one.
