Granted it lifts off slowly, but from say 1/2 mile up on, it may be the space shuttle, with its huge engine.
Rocket sleds, used to test gs, are very fast accelerators.
Some motorcycles.
Rocket powered planes in the X series.
The SR 71.
The Raptor fighter plane.
Hydroplane racing boats.
Land speed record cars, like the Goldenrod.
Mag-Lev trains.
Pods in pneumatic tubes.

Justin has it right. A top fuel dragster is the quickest vehicle I know of. A jet car has to be pretty close, also. 0 to 330 mph in about 4.5 seconds! Space shuttle isn't even close, but it has more top end m.p.h.

top fuel draggster, 300 ++ mph in under 5 sec., with in a 0.25 of a mile. 5286 ft in a mile 5286 ft / 4 = 1321.5 ft in 5 sec. 1321.5 ft / 5 sec. = 264.3 ft per sec. or look at it this way 300 mph / 5 sec. = 60 mph per sec.
