Moments of Love
Director: Mark Reyes

The story revolves around Marco (Dantes) and Divina (Calzado) and the strange attraction that begins when they first speak with each other.

Marco is a photographer covering a harvest festival in Lake Tabon. While on a photo shoot, a mysterious old woman is hit by a van while trying to save his life. He visits the woman and is drawn to her granddaughter Lianne (Karylle). Marco and Lianne start developing a relationship. But the recent events cause Marco to be withdrawn. He is haunted by a deep feeling of loneliness. For these reasons, Lianne can not seem to get close to this enigmatic man.

His yearning leads him to a telephone conversation with Divina (Iza Calzado), the daughter of an haciendero. She too has suffered an emotional loss and is feeling empty. They find solace from their sadness in each other. Together they fill the emptiness they have always known all their lives.

Unbeknownst to them, they are living in the same provincial house but are separated by time. Divina lives in the past (1957) and Marco in the present (2006).

They set a time and place to meet in Lake Tabon but due to the time warp, do not meet. After two failed attempts, Marco discovers the truth that Divina lives in the past. Marco is able to convince Divina of this truth and they accept their fate.

However, Divina faces a great challenge as she is betrothed by her parents to a violent man in order to save their family fortune. Marco encourages Divina to run away and flee to Manila. He also makes her promise to meet him on March 29, 2006. Divina agrees and she tells him that she will wait for 49 years to fulfill her promise.

In a sleepy lakeside town, time curves for two people to meet and part. In the end, all that is left are their Moments of Love.

The Godfather, USA, directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

The attempted introduction of drug trafficking into the business dealings of the five American Mafia families. One family (the Corleones) resist, and all out war between the five starts. Ultimately, the Godfather's son, Michael, after his father's death (from natural causes), settles all family business in one day. This is still the best American movie ever made.

I'm from Calcutta(India). My favorite's 'Agantuk' (The Stranger) directed by Satyajit Ray. Telling u the story in details...

Anila Bose (Mamata Shankar) receives a curious letter sent from New Delhi, affectionately referring to her as "baby", presumably from her uncle, Manmohan Mitra (Utpal Dutt). Having left Calcutta immediately after his graduation when Anila was only two years old, Manmohan is eager to reunite with his sole surviving relative, imploring on her sense of traditional Indian hospitality to receive him into their household. Anila's husband Sudhindra (Depankar De) is skeptical of the upcoming visit, convinced that the author's impeccable Bengali could not possibly have been written by anyone who has spent the last 35 years traveling through Western countries as her uncle has reputed to have done, and urges her to send a telegram immediately in order to avert his intended visit under the pretense of leaving for a family vacation. Yet despite Sudhindra's reservations, Anila is intrigued by the possibility of meeting her long lost uncle, and strikes a compromise with her husband to accept the stranger's visit, and agrees to make an expedient assessment of his identity and ulterior motive. However, Manmohan's charm proves to be infectious, as Anila and her son Satyaki (Bikram Bhattacharya) soon find themselves captivated by his cultural sophistication and congeniality. Sudhindra returns home to find that Anila and Satyaki have already lost their objectivity towards the charismatic stranger, but reserves judgment on Manmohan's true identity until friends can surreptitiously question him. However, when a pragmatic and discourteous associate named Pritish (Dhritiman Chatterjee) seizes the opportunity to condemn Manmohan's personal beliefs and nomadic way of life, the family inadvertently alienate their captivating and enlightening guest.

Through the iconoclastic and erudite Manmohan, Ray encapsulates his profound concern for the preservation of humanity and cultural legacy in an increasingly modern and impersonal world: the union of savagery and civilization, tradition and westernization, obligation and compassion. It is a compelling final statement from a thoughtful artist and an enlightened human being.

OK ..here's the storyline...

Boy meets girls (woman). Boy loves girl. Boy and girl separate, usually by death, but, not necessary.

Citizen Kane...Gone With the Wind...King Kong...Casablanca...

Get it!

The same story has been told over and over again. Different form and backdrop, but, nonetheless, the same story has been told many times over and it works every time.
