No, SD cards don't fit on a PSP. You need a Pro Duo Memory Stick. It doesn't have to specifically be from Sony. You can buy cheap San Disk ones on eBay.

No, you can't. Unfortunately there's no adaptor that'll let you use SD cards in a Memory Stick reader.

without an adapter you cannot use sd cards on the psp

Sony make there own 'exclusive' cards, so I dont think so.
They like to corner the market.
