Recalling is more analytical in nature. You may try to recall the exact time, date, weather, people, books, etc. This is something you would do for studying. Reflection is not concerned as much with the minute details. Reflection deals more with the emotions and moods of the time. You reflect when you think back at your first bike, first kiss, first love, first breakup. It is about how those events made you feel.

Recalling is remembering basic facts as I recall that last Monday I had salmon for dinner.
Reflecting goes beyond that, not only did I have salmon but it was delicious and served with rice pilaf at that restaurant by the river. The makes me think of dark blues and greens and thar makes me recall a late afernoon walk in the woods. Gosh. but that salmon was good.
