Ah ! what a touching question. In fact, we remember too much to our near an dear when they leave us for heaven. Thoughts come and go in our mind. Always we think what we should have done/accomplished to make them cheerful. Kaash (If possible) I could provide them what once they requested or required from us. I am of the view if we happen to talk to some who passed away, I will ask what they want and I would do my best to complete that task that they could not achieve in their life. Oh, if possible, but we know that is not possible. But why we forget who are alive right now ? Can't we ask them as to what they expect from us and accomplish that. No we tend to forget why? Your question will probably remind all of us of our duties towards our kith and kins. Thank you for asking such a deep-thought question.

My maternal grandmother, I'd tell her that I miss her and wish my mother would have told me she passed (I didn't learn she had died for almost two years). I would also like to talk to my dad, to say I wish he would have sobered up sooner so that I could have gotten to know him without him being drunk 24/7. Because during his last days here I got to know who he really was and liked him. Now I miss the man I never knew until it was too late.

I would talk to my late husband. He died when our daughter was 11 months old. I was not yet 20. I would ask him about leaving us alone to "grow up" together without him. She is now almost 28. I'm now 46. I'm happily married and comfortable. However, those days were the hardest days I ever faced.

It would be my nephew who committed suicide at 17. I'd want to tell him that "I Love Him" and that I miss him terribly....and that I hope God has freed him of his pain and showed him only Glory.
