You should not be reading your friend's diary! Well not unless she said you could. Don't submit her photo as a suprise that would be a very nasty thing to do. Instead why not take her speed dating - it's quite a lot of fun and is good for building up cofidence as you realise how bad other people are at the whole talking to strangers thing!

Why were you reading her diary..?
Anyhow... prehaps talk about it, bring the topic up with her n say what you think of online dating, how about we take a pic of us and we can put it up and see what happens. If your in the pic she wouldnt be as shy, Just make sure you point out whos who and if your a really nice friend you would do what ever it takes to help her be more confident :)

Reading her diary wasn't exactly the smoothest move. I'm not gonna lecture you about how "the diary is something intimate, that no one else should be reading, except for the writer", because I am convinced you already know that.
Online dating is crap, because you never know if prince_charming23 and hottie_945 aren't actually transgenders, psychos and who knows what else. So if you wanna help, just introduce her to a guy who's actually normal and good for her.

No no no - you shouldn't have been looking at her diary in the first place so she wouldn't thank you for it.
Perhaps approach the subject of dating with her and sneakilly slip in the suggestion on online dating then just encourage her to go through with it - much better way than going behind her back.

Try to speak to her about it first obviously without letting on that you have read her diary......drop it into conversation and say that you could perhaps join her to make her feel better so she doesnt do it on her own? But descression is the best policy.

No I don't think so. You shouldn't be reading her diary either. She may well feel that you are prying into her life. Reading her diary and posting information about her on the Internet, getting involved in her dating habits......think about it.

No! It's not your place. You don't know who's out there. I know a girl who let an internet dae into her life to find he was a con artist, charming and loving, but makes a carreer out of meeting, moving in and living off women. Heed all the warnings about the nutters out there! You can be anyone you want on the net, but it's not always real!

What are you doing reading her diary in the first place? I mean, if she said it was okay, hen all power to you. But um, if she didn't, I don't think you should be messing with her life like that...I know I wouldn't like it. But then again, that's just me.

You could, but I can't make any promises about the people she'll meet online.
Bear in mind that my online dating profile reads:
'Well-groomed male (non-smoker) seeks female for discreet liaisons, preferably outdoors', which was perfectly accurate at the time and still is.
It used to end with 'bitches need not apply' but I removed it because no bitches applied.
