because we are created in God's image. God is the personification of love; of course we inherited imperfection from Adam, nevertheless we were still endowed w/these attributes, as love, the ability to reason, to appreciate beauty, etc. this is unlike the animals whom were not endowed w/these qualities.

why not? What would you want to have feelings of? What if you had no feelings at all? Why ask these questions? Is it enough to feel, or is it the fear of feeling something wrong, and if you felt it as wrong, wouldn't you immediately know it was not right? And if feelings get in the way, what are they anyways but an indication that helps guide us towards the right path. And what is the destination at the end of that path? feelings? Not likely. Do you feel the words in the same way that you use them? Do you need to feel them if you knew they were the right ones? What if the heart let out so many feelings you were in constant ecstasy, would you have any motivation to do anything else with your time? What if your heart let out no feelings at all? In conclusion, go with your gut instinct when your heart is overwhelmed by feelings. Oh and I heard somewhere or other that using your head was also a good idea.

Because God -being love Himself- gave you those feelings.
He also gave us a lot of freedom - the right to decide what we do with love. Many people choose the dark-side of life -which may sometimes seem love but which is no real love- and others choose the light -love. Searching? Ask God to help you find it -do something for it - and you will find it. Also you will have to keep on asking. Temptations of so-called (negative) love are always around.

feelings are not really defined as love love in it's true form is rare, a deep and overwhelming emotion perhaps only experienced once in a lifetime, feelings are commonplace you feel sick or happy or sad

If we didn't it would just be lust,and we wouldn't be any better than some lowly animal in heat.Plus it gives you something to think about movies,dinner,date activities and not just sex.
