" Contemporary art is only for millionaires" It is not a real public market.
There are real artists out there saying something but where is our market?
Thus the " In lot " rolling in cash, but what they are doing now or saying we don't know. Tracy is probably a nice enough woman but her love life or lack of it is not art. As for the vomiting woman ? by what's her name. Sad .
My paintings are on some good walls. None bought by millionaires but they live on . It's a little pond for big fat fish only. Must have hope I guess. Nothing changes. Dizzy.

I thought Tracey was just hype, BUT I've seen a lot of interviews with her and she comes across as a very nice and sincere person. Since art is an entirely personal thing, it's quite acceptable and right that some people love it and others hate it. It's the marmite factor!

Yes, of course it's art. Some people just don't like it. If you bothered to look at other examples of these artists work and not just the obvious you might understand that there is more to it than meets the eye. It really annoys me when I hear people say 'oh it's crap' and 'I could do that'. Why don't they do that then and make a fortune - it's because they don't have the balls or imagination and would rather just sit and criticise.

I agree (as do the majority of people) with your statements. Someone posted that this type of installation art "shocks", it doesn't anymore, these types of installation are so old hat they are boring and un-imaginative. These people are not artists but marketeers, producing for a specific and very narrow target audience, no different to the like of simon cowell.
