The doctors will want the baby to run fiull term unless there are pressing medical reasons to bring it forward, because in the later stages of pregnancy the baby os being prepared for life outside the mother,
Premature babies tend to have many complications because they are just not ready for the world outside the protection of their mother';s womb.

If there is no medical reason why do you want to have a preemi baby i have had two first one at 36 weeks due to a bad cervix and my second at 30 weeks it is the most agonising and emotional roller coaster you could ever go through my 30 week little girl spent the first 8 weeks of her life in an incubator with machines monitering everything it was heart breaking not being able to hold my baby till she was 6 weeks old as she was to sick and small to be touched i am pregnant again and i am doing everthing i can to try and make it as far as possible. My duaghter is now two and only just catching up she has ashma all the time cause her lungs were not ready. Is there a reason u ask this question are you having problems. Good luck with everything your baby will come when its ready.

Why on earth would you want the baby out early? Sounds very selfish!!
The only reason to deliver a child that early is if it's life or the life of the mother is at risk. Otherwise WHY risk taking a baby early for the convience of the parents??????
Being born too early means that a baby's lungs aren't fully developed. The baby would be low weight and have a feeding tube down his nose to feed.
If it is a life or death thing...it is fine to take the baby that early. BUT if you are talking convience that is just Sick

A Dr would not do this unless there was a strong medical reason for mother or baby. They aim to keep baby there as long as possible, coz every day matters to development. A baby in my family was delivered early (health comps in mother) and had to stay at the hospital till near full term. They are just so small and just not ready!!! What a crazy question. Why would you want it out early? If your pregnant please research fetal development and buy some books on raising a baby.

hi
i went into pem labour with my baby at 33 weeks. They stopped the labour as a swab test showed H strep B. This is very damaging to baby in the canal.
although i really wanted to give birth - i was so pleased to find this out afterwards. the babys lungs need those extra weeks to give it he best chance.
i got steroid injections for baby and antibiotics for me to clear up the virus.
i was told that if the baby had picked up the virus during delivery it would not have survved.
happy to say he is now 7 years old and very healty. He was born 10llb.
but i will never forget how that those last few weeks were vital.
think how a baby develops in the first stages - lots can happen in a few weeks.
hang in there its not long in real terms.

If your baby was born early, it could survive. However, it is best for the child to stay in the whole time for the best chance of thriving. No doctor will do this for you, and I can't believe an expectant mom would even ask such a thing. Child protective services will be at your door soon after you give birth, I wager.

Oh my gosh! Take it you and the fella are nothing but kids yourselves. If you were mature and responsible adults, you would know what a moronic question that is.
However, to answer..It is extremely important the baby go as close to(or be)full term. The fetus is still developing and growing..readying to be born a full term, healthy baby.
I feel sorry for this child. The whole world has gone nuts..selfish, self-centered, and self-seeking.

No doctor will consider the induction of labor in a healthy baby & mom before 36 weeks.

The longer your child remains in utero the healthier and stronger it becomes... Why would you want to give birth when each additional week gives your child that much greater chance of survival without complications? Normal gestation is 40 weeks your child would be born 7 weeks premature...
At 7 weeks premature a baby will weigh on average 4 lbs it will likely survive but will need painful and costly medical intervention...
http://members.tripod.com/~peacepigeon/fetal.html
To give you an idea my son was 3.5 weeks premature he weighed 6lbs 7 oz.. at birth compared to his sister who weighed 8lbs and 8lbs1oz.. at birth he was in neonatal intensive care unit for 4 weeks his medical problems included a cyanotic heart defect (blue baby syndrome), pnemonia, inability to swallow, inability to maintain a body temperature, ... etc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_baby
The cost of his treatment in neonatal ICU was just over $250.000 dollars in 1989 thats 17 years ago and the cost has gone up since...
Lasting effects are asthma, due to a drug used to keep him alive his baby teeth literally rotted out of his mouth dispite having each tooth sealed within 1 week of him getting it, until he was 4 all of his food had to be cut into 1/4 inch pieces or he choked... He spent the first several years of his life on seisure medication to prevent grand mal seisures... he was having 3-4 a month...
You are preposing having a child 3.5 weeks earlier than my son was born, imagine the problems associated with being born that early..
Grow up and stop thinking about what you want and think about what the child inside of you needs..
I suggest being surgically sterilized after the birth of this unfortunate child ( I say unfortunate because with a parent as self centered and selfish as you it is unfortunate) no other child deserves to have the burden and misfortune of having you as a parent... Consider placing this current child with adoptive parents who will put it's best interest above thiers as you seem so unable to do...

Unless you or the baby are at risk, they wont deliver the baby at 33 weeks just cause you want too. I asked my doctor from about 30 weeks with my last one each visit. He didnt book me in for an induction till i would be a week late. Thankfully i had her on my due date. My sister was given and emergency ceaser at 33 weeks but she had severe pre eclampsia, it almost killed her. She and baby are well now.
That last answer was a bit nasty!
