I believe that Mark Twain was a master of words. He could make an entire book of just sarcasm. I also believe he was the origanal political satarist. I just love his humor.

It's hard to improve on what you said. He was a master of his art then and his work has yet to become outdated which is the mark of a talented gifted writer.

I like Becky Thatcher cause as a girl I wished that she fought her evil foe Amy Lawrence. And I also think that Becky was the molde for Penny from Inspector Gadget and that Amy was Dr Claw.

I believe that he was a phenomenal writer and I firmly believe he is woefully under appreciated in American culture. As far as him being the "original political satirist", I can't give him that. There was political satyric works as far back as the Roman times. One of my favorite satirical pieces was Johnathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" written in 1729.

Two of his books, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, were enjoyable. They were pretty funny and are two of the best adventure books ever written.
