Talk to him about it.
Marraige doesn't have to be a big mystery until he pops the question. If you think you are ready, you should try talking to him about it, see what he thinks. You won't be spoiling the surprise ;).
You should also talk to other people about it. It is important to find out what your friends and family see in your relationship. Make sure that any major issues are at least talked about, maybe not resolved, before you decide to get married. You need to know more than that you love each other - You need to know that you are right for each other, and the only way you are going to know is if you talk.

Start talking about your future together. If he's in love with you, he's probably thinking likewise.
If there's a possibility of marriage. Not all bf/gf who are in love want to talk of this or even want marriage. You should know your man if he's ready for such a thing. Good luck and love.
