To love is always harder. Because in love, we open up ourselves and therefore become more vulnerable. In hate we build up walls that make us feel more secure (and superior). Our natural instinct is for feelings of safety and superiority. Thus, love represents a serious risk, and is therefore always more difficult.

Easy to love, because when we love we "fall for" and yes our hearts are open, and we are vunerable, but we are in a state, we seem to have no control over, and everything seems possible, when feeling this way, we only see the good points...even the bad points are tolerated, thats why we hear the same old line, when someone should leave an abusive relationship they stay because of love, and find it hard to let go.
Easy to hate an outsider, for doing you a wrong, but harder if it is a relative who has done a wrong, the loyalty to them makes it the hardest thing to do, because you are reminded of the fact, that they are your flesh, and blood.

To hate is hardest because once you hate you can never turn it into love. So never ever try to hate.

I think it is not difficult to do either- Those who hate find it easy and those who love find it a joy-
The hardest thing to do is to teach this to those who find if strange and foriegn and not natural...
the sadest thing i s to not try for that is the garuntee of failure
Choose love... with time it is the easiest of roads to travel!

While much decision-making can lead up to a loving or hating of something, the actual state of being-in-love or hate is nothing difficult; it comes automatically.
How easy our lives would be if we could simply choose to be in love or not!
haha.

I'd have to really think hard to come up with reasons as to why I hated someone, but in the spur of the moment I might hate them for no particular reason, so I would say as long as I am thinking clearly I'd go wtih love. I don't really know which one is harder, I guess they both have their challenges.

One possible answer could be that love and hate are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. This would mean that the same force is required in order for both magnitudes to be achieved. At this point however, direction is up to the individual.

Love is hard - it requires personal commitment.
Hate is easy - you can hate strangers from a distance and it takes no brains whatsoever to hate anything at all.
Funny how love or hate can consume us - it's just a matter of personal choice.

Love is much harder. You become vulnerable. With hate you can stand back and become detached. A psychiatrist told me once to learn to hate my ex-husband because it was easier to get over the pain if I could learn to hate him. I eventually got over the hate as well.
