A Chilean student is auctioning off her virginity to raise the money to complete her studies.
The 21-year-old, from Santiago, told La Cuarta online: "I will provide a certificate signed by a doctor to prove I am a virgin. No man has ever touched me."
The auction is being conducted by Chilean radio station W Radio CRC and the opening bid was £350.
Station director Mariano Perez said: "I am personally against this kind of thing but people are free to do what they want with their lives.

I think its really sad...
Not that I think she should be stopped, you know its her life. I just think she'll come to regret it someday.
You should lose your virginity to someone you love, not to the highest bidder.
I think someone ought to ship this poor girl a pamphlet on student loans before she makes a life changing mistake...

She must have a very low self esteem. Can't she think of any other way? To have some old, fat, smelly, someone all over her, and that is what she will tell her husband one day. That is like a prostitute, which is taking a pure body and selling it. I would eat dirt, or whatever, before I would do a thing like that. Oh, yes, and the guy is going to want her to do every slimy thing he can thing of... a stranger. I think the Chilean radio station should be strung up, and just getting the publicity off a poor little girl who thinks this is the only way. This could be a spoof too, but I doubt it. She will have to live with this for the rest of her life. Why can't the radio station say, this girl was thinking about doing this, but we want to help her so she does not have to do this, will you please donate to her cause, and we will do the same. This would be a humanitarian type of thing and SO much more loving type of a thing than the other way, helping her become a prostitute. Shame on them. I would picket the place. .
