That's a hard question to answer...I think you have to be a bit more specific. Do you want a full face of makeup...or are you just looking for a specific feature you want to enhance?
I would say the best basics are a good foundation or tinted mousturizer depending on how much coverage you want. A light blush, tinted gloss for lips, and a good mascara....and also, I think the most important thing I have in my make-up bag is my eyelash curler. Love that. :) and powder is good for making your make-up stay. And I think it's important to spend more on the foundation and mascara and the brushes and tools...the rest you'll be able to get at dime-stores and such. :)

Jane Iredale mineral cosmetics. Unlike other cosmetics that claim they're mineral, there are absolutely no fillers like talc and crazy cancerous colours in the ingredients of any of their products.
The coverage of their foundations is amazing for any skin type and skin flaws. And most have spf coverage too.
The colours of their products are great too.
Jane Iredale sold at higher-end stores and spas. Not sure where your from, but if you check out their website (www.janeiredale.com), I'm sure you can find a location near you where you can go and try the makeup and learn more about it.

Depends on what you're looking for. I use just about anything in the Cover Girl and Loreal lines mostly, but I am privvy to getting freebies from all the major companies. For mineral powder, I use the Physician's Formula Mineral Wear line. You don't have to spend a fortune to look good.

well for me, the only make up i use is eyeliner. but for foundations and blushes just cover ur skin and clog ur pores and dont show ur natural beauty, eyeliner is completely the best!! its the only one that changes ur face dramatically without having so much make up on, but if u were to use foundation, dont use it that much and always go for name brands!

Depends on which your are referring to, powders, blushers, foundation or what? I go for Japanese brands because they are gentle on the skin.

i feel that putting on light make up makes a person look prettier and not too 'made-up'..
putting on non is also good!
and also try to go for a change sometimes,like wearing Gothic...
its really cool!

i don't know..i don't wear make-up....
i heard that it can cause more face problems like pimples and things..idk if its true though..but i still don't put on make-up..i don't like it that much..well i don't like putting it on myself i guess....
