I have many favourite female pop/rock singers, but most of the live in relative obscurity. Among my favourites are two Canadian ladies - Amanda Marshall, and Beth Hart (I'm Australian, by the way). I also am a big fan of Patty Smyth (Mrs John McEnroe) and Johnette Napolitano, from Concrete Blonde

natalie imburglia - city.

its off her first album. its dark take on gritty realism and the impossible need we have to escape our past and ourselves. the guitars scream quite optism while being self aware of their delusion. her soft voice seems out of place but is an allegory for what she is saying. its runs parallel with her feelings of detachment from her surroundings. it ends with a melay of guitars that gets close to self fullfillment but then drifts off with content for trying as the piano assurres us that all is well. or maybe not

hows that for a load of crap? i just like the song! and think she is stunning, her eyes are mesmerizing
