Okay, i owe the bank money in which is really really behind. Does he have the right to call a person that is not even in the reference when i initially applied for the loan??? When i applied for a loan i told him that i know this such and such person and he remembered and called and told that person the amount I owe and the time its been late and to tell me to pay or they will sue??? i'am going to pay in full but i want to confront him personally about this... what to do???? obviously, i was having some problem, but to make it worst, this person told my mother and my sister first and my sister told my cousin to tell me... now, everybody knows and everybody is calling, telling me how embarrasing this is for our family.

From what I remember, unless that person is listed on the loan, it would be illegeal, I think, to tell that person anything about your loan. I know it's illegeal to threaten you through through a third party.

I would contact his boss, you can most likely find this information on their website, and let them know about what kind of conduct he is using in order to get you to pay back your loan. I doubt his boss will back him up on harassment, make sure that person that he threatened is able to help you out and talk to his boss with you. Any other contact with anyone from this bank, good or bad, write it down, the persons name, time you talked with them, the subject you talked about, and what the conclusion was. Then you have concrete evidence of any other harassment if you would have to take your case further then his boss.

You could also turn towards your state's attorney general, they can help you out with this situation also. I know they've helped me out an a couple of tough cases I've had. Good luck with your loan and with your fight in dealing with this "Manager". Don't worry about what your family thinks, your dealing with it the best you can! Good Luck!

This was illegal on his part. Immoral, yes. Power-trippy, yes. But also illegal. You need to call your state's attorney general and file with him. Complaining to the bank probably won't do it. IF you can prove the chain of knowledge (in other words, if you can prove that he's the one who leaked the information), you may have a lawsuit on your hands. I work in the financial field, and you would not believe the extents I go to in order to keep my clients' information confidential.
Since you want to confront him personally, familiarize yourself with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act of 1999. I've attached the link. This is the basis for the privacy notices we all get. Also, get a copy of the bank's privacy policy (they have to provide you with one), and read it. Then you'll be as informed as possible when you confront him.

verify your economic corporation's internet site and that they must have the procedures listed. i think the 1st step is to do it interior the path of the ombudsman of the corporate. if that fails there are government bodies that ought to take your grievance. at worse, you may continually pass to courtroom notwithstanding i doubt it quite is the kind you want to pass

I think the best thing to do would be to contact your local branch of consumer protection or the banking ombudsman & tell them this story then they can best advise you on your rights & what action to take.

yes, you should complain , because if this person was not on your reference list- he break law and you can sue him. call your district attorney and ask them for advise and help. if they will not help you- at least they will tell you where you should put your complain.
