i mean it is used by some politicians like some good word, but if u look at it in reality its an evil word.in so called democratic countires u get the oppressed poor who hve no say in society, people can demonstrate and no one will listen to you so its a complete waste of time.you. democrcy basicaly means oppress the poor and make the rich richer.

Democracy doesn't have to be that way. You are blindsighted by USA Politics where the voters have elected Representatives who have created the situation you describe.
Spend some time in Switzerland and discover a different kind of Democracy.

The U.S.A. is, technically, not a Democracy, it is a Republic. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

All government systems repress some strata of society or another. Governments in general hate self sufficiency, whether they be left, right, or in the middle.

Many old Russians I know here in the U.S.A. shake their heads and say "The U.S.S.R. was never like this, they are executing people in the streets. At least the KGB had the common decency to do it in the privacy of a cellar"

But don't all govermental systems mean oppresion of one group and the elation of another? Even in communisim there is a powerful elite who live in nicer homes and have servents while most people toil. Why should we expect a democarcy to be diffrent?
But, with democracy the people power collectivly. It's not democray's fault that people don't pay attenion and stnad up for their right and participate in the governing processes.

read a book that was written by someone other then Micheal Moore and you might learn what a true blessing it is to live in this democracy.
