Because principled people usually respect others as well, and will not express their beliefs unless invited to do so. Even then, pricipled people have to sort out if the questioner is truly seeking to understand their belief, or just trying to set up an ambush.

This is called the silent minority. there are those who believe in their hearts that Bush should not have invaded Iraq and some even believe that he is trashing the country. Yet, the silent ones dare not stand up for what they believe in fear of being ridiculed, out casted or even criticized. It's hard for most people to stand up, no one wants to make a scene. Some people even believe that standing up makes no difference in the situation. I know some people that will not vote because they believe it makes no difference.

it's true. personally, i find it hard to stand up for my beliefs at times since people are very judgemental these days.
sometimes if you stand up for what you believe, you run the risk of offending someone or you'll have someone judge you (negative/positive). but...when you do stand up...i see it as self-affirmation...that you won't let society dictate what you believe in.

not always,
everybody is not like us.
just find, u urself stand up for what u believe.
and don't give them chance to point out us
also don't think, everybody believes in morals,
or ethic values.........
even they don't know what they are saying
so no que. of standing up for it.

Besides here, on the job if they do, someone tattletales on them like they are in kindergarten.

my little sister lets her friends step all over her
she follows whatever they say
she is peer pressured
she thinks that her friends will only accept her if she follows them

what i will do what is necessary for wht i believe you see i believe in principle over personality by any means necessary and i mean it .
