Logically : " Hen, the Murghi "
Deliciously : " Egg, the anda "
Religiously : " God knows "
Scientifically: " Egg, the anda but in a diffrent form "
Diplomatically : " Hen with an egg inside "
Undiplomatically: " The egg with a hen inside "
Cmon..brother, forget the funda and eat the anda.

I believe God created all animals, so I suppose He would have created a chicken. But then again, a baby in the womb is still a human, so He could have made an egg since its still a chicken.
Sorry, I know this isn't quite a clear answer, but unless we were there, we really can't know for sure.

I believe in God. I've also lived in many places of this world. I've discovered that each culture is different. But each culture aims to believe in whatever God it is that is common for that region. My belief is that there truly is only one God but has different names in diferent lands. Since a chicken must firt hatch from the egg, I believe 'God' created the egg, in propper conditions to hatch and not just die, first. It hatched and became with time the first chicken.
Good question though. After all, which came first, the man or the woman who gave birth to him?

I always answer "Red Jungle Fowl" which is the ancestor of the domestic chicken.
Birds are descended from a group of therapod dinosaurs, they arose from a group of reptiles.... then amphibians... then fish.... then hemichordates....need I go on?
